GARY S. SNITOW’s legal background is multi-faceted, with his practice now focused primarily in the areas of complex commercial litigation and appeals and matrimonial and family law.

Mr. Snitow began his law career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office. He was initially assigned to the Appeals Bureau where he drafted appellate briefs and successfully represented the District Attorney at oral arguments before the Appellate Division, First Department and the New York State Court of Appeals. He later transferred to the Special Prosecutions Bureau where he investigated and prosecuted a wide variety of white collar crimes.

After nearly four years as an ADA, Mr. Snitow became associated with Milberg LLP, a mid-sized litigation firm, where he was actively engaged in antitrust, bankruptcy, commercial and real estate litigation. Mr. Snitow was responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, from drafting pleadings through preparing and arguing appeals in both federal and state courts, including the courts of the States of New York and Florida, the Southern District of New York, District of New Jersey, District of Delaware, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Between 2012 and 2016, Mr. Snitow has consistently been named a New York Super Lawyers Metro Rising Stars, “comprised of the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.” Mr. Snitow’s legal acumen and breadth of experience complement SKRS’s diverse law practice, where is he is actively engaged in all aspects of both commercial and matrimonial litigation both in the courts and in arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Snitow is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Snitow is a member of the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of YBH of Passaic and a member of the executive Board of Congregation Kol Yeshurun.
